How to find your British Gas bill

Take your time. Nothing here can break. This takes about ten minutes. If you get stuck at any point, stop. Send us what you have or nothing at all, then we sort the rest together on the phone.
1

Check your email first, it is the easy way

1
Open your emails. That is the app where your emails arrive, usually called Mail, Gmail, Outlook or Hotmail.
2
Find the search box at the top. It has a small magnifying glass. Tap it and type British Gas then press search.
3
Look for an email about your bill or your account. Check who sent it: a real one comes from an address ending britishgas.co.uk.

The email is usually not the bill itself. It just tells you a bill is ready. The bill lives in your online account, so carry on to Part 2. And if the sender's address ends in anything other than britishgas.co.uk, do not click it.

Log in and download the bill

1
Open the internet (Safari, Chrome or Edge). Tap the long box at the very top of the screen, type britishgas.co.uk then press Go.
2
Click My account in the top corner of the page.
3
Sign in with your email address and password. Forgotten the password? Click Forgotten your password and British Gas emails you a link to set a new one. That is normal, most people do it.
4
Once you are in, look for Bills. On some screens it is called Bills and payments.
5
Open the newest bill, then press Download. It saves a copy of the bill to your phone or computer, usually into a folder called Downloads.
