How to find your Octopus Energy bill

Take your time. Nothing here can break. This takes about ten minutes. If you get stuck at any point, stop. Send us what you have or nothing at all, then we sort the rest together on the phone.
1

Check your email first, it is the easy way

1
Open your emails. That is the app where your emails arrive, usually called Mail, Gmail, Outlook or Hotmail.
2
Find the search box at the top. It has a small magnifying glass. Tap it and type Octopus then press search.
3
Look for an email about your bill or your account. Check who sent it: a real one comes from an address ending octopus.energy.

Octopus calls bills "statements". The email usually is not the statement itself, it just tells you one is ready. The statement lives in your online account, so carry on to Part 2. And if the sender's address ends in anything other than octopus.energy, do not click it.
2

Log in and download the bill

1
Open the internet (Safari, Chrome or Edge). Tap the long box at the very top of the screen, type octopus.energy then press Go.
2
Click Log in in the top corner of the page.
3
Sign in with your email address. Octopus can email you a sign-in link instead of a password, which is the easiest way in.
4
On your account page, look for Statements or Billing.
5
Open the newest statement, then press Download. It saves a copy to your phone or computer, usually into a folder called Downloads.

No smart meter? Octopus makes a statement after you send a meter reading, so the newest one may be a month or two old. That is fine, send the newest one you have.
